The Narrow Sea is a series of photographs made on the English Channel, on ferry journeys between England and France. In a culture of cheap air travel, the ferry already feels like a nostalgic mode of transport. I use the journey as a space for reflecting on the broader socio-political story of this route; considering the channel as England’s connection to mainland Europe, the shared space between England and France.
